Dr Ashisha Kallukaran

Dr Ashisha Kallukaran is a highly dedicated Paediatrician and dual Specialist in Paediatric Immunology and Allergy. She provides a holistic, collaborative, and compassionate model of care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents up to the age of sixteen. With a clinical focus that spans both general paediatric medicine and complex immunological conditions, Dr Kallukaran is committed to supporting families as they navigate the challenges of early childhood, developmental milestones, and chronic health concerns. Her reassuring approach ensures that both parents and young patients feel supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr Kallukaran completed her medical education with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), subsequently obtaining a Master of Medicine (MMed) and a Diploma of Child Health (DCH). She completed her advanced specialist training through major tertiary paediatric hospital networks. In 2021, she was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in both Paediatric Immunology and Allergy, as well as General Paediatrics. Dr Kallukaran is an active member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and contributes to the wider medical community as an Associate Lecturer at a prominent Australian university and as a Visiting Medical Specialist.

In her clinical practice, Dr Kallukaran manages a diverse range of general paediatric concerns, including infant feeding difficulties, reflux, colic, growth concerns, and developmental or behavioural conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). As an expert in allergy and immunology, she specialises in diagnosing and managing food allergies, anaphylaxis, eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and complex immune system disorders. She is highly skilled in performing diagnostic procedures such as skin prick testing and supervised food challenges, working closely with families to develop tailored, practical management plans that improve her patients' overall quality of life.
