Prof. Andrew Korda

Prof. Andrew Korda is a highly distinguished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in urogynaecology and pelvic floor disorders. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for women experiencing complex pelvic floor and bladder issues. His clinical focus encompasses the diagnosis and management of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and various forms of urinary dysfunction. Prof. Korda is committed to helping patients regain their quality of life through tailored treatment plans and advanced diagnostic investigations.

In addition to his clinical practice, Prof. Korda has made significant contributions to medical education and research. He holds a position as a Conjoint Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and serves as a Consultant Emeritus at a prominent teaching hospital. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as the Chairman of a pelvic floor unit and the Chief Examiner in Urogynaecology for the regional professional college. As an active Academic, he has published extensively on pelvic floor and urinary dysfunction, sharing his expertise to advance the field of women's health both nationally and internationally.

Prof. Korda completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney. He undertook his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Sydney, followed by further postgraduate training in Oxford, United Kingdom, and New York, United States. Demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning, he also holds Master's degrees in Arts and Health Law from the University of Sydney. Prof. Korda is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, with a subspecialty Certification in Urogynaecology, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He is also a Fellow of the Australian College of Legal Medicine. His professional memberships include the International Urogynaecological Association, the International Continence Society, the Urogynaecological Society of Australia, and the Australian Medical Association.
