About Dr Wafa Samen
Dr. Wafa Samen is an accredited specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 20 years of specialist experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine from the University of New South Wales and has a special interest in infertility and reconstructive vaginal procedures and recurrent miscarriages, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and menopause.
Dr. Samen obtained her medical degree in Iraq, where she also began her specialization in obstetrics and gynaecology. After relocating to Australia, she continued her training at The Mater Mothers' Hospital in Brisbane and Liverpool Hospital in Sydney, where she gained her fellowship. She has also completed extensive training in Reproductive Medicine at Westmead and St George Hospitals.
Dr. Samen is a fellow of the Arab Board of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is fluent in Arabic and Turkish. Her clinical specialties include advanced laparoscopy, management of diminished ovarian reserve, endometriosis, obstetrics, and PCOS.
