Professor Alkis Psaltis

Dr. Alkis James Psaltis is a highly accomplished Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon and Otolaryngologist based in Kingswood, Australia. He is widely recognised for his expertise in advanced rhinology, sinus disorders, and complex skull base surgery. Dr. Psaltis provides comprehensive, patient-centred care, addressing a wide range of conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat, with a particular focus on restoring nasal function and improving his patients' quality of life.

Dr. Psaltis graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours in 2000. He subsequently completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2008, focusing his research on the role of bacterial biofilms in chronic rhinosinusitis. After completing his specialist training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in 2011, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. To further refine his skills, he undertook three prestigious post-graduate fellowships in advanced rhinology and anterior skull base surgery in New Zealand and the United States.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Psaltis is a dedicated educator and researcher. He serves as a Professor of Otolaryngology and holds the position of Head of Department at a major tertiary teaching hospital in South Australia. He is actively involved in training the next generation of surgeons, directing a highly regarded international fellowship programme. Dr. Psaltis has contributed extensively to medical literature, authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and frequently presents his research at national and international conferences.
