Dr Philip Yeung

Dr Phil Yeung is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon who has been in consultant practice since 2005. His clinical interests include nasal obstruction, sinus disease, severe allergic rhinitis, paediatric middle ear disease, chronic ear conditions, balance disorders, obstructive sleep apnoea in adults and children, voice and laryngeal disorders, and the diagnosis and management of head and neck cancers.

Dr Yeung graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney Medical School in 1992. Following early surgical training as a General Surgery Registrar at Prince of Wales Hospital and affiliated hospitals, he began specialist ENT training at John Hunter Hospital in 1997. He entered the New South Wales accredited Otolaryngology training programme in 1999, completing specialist training in 2003. His training included dedicated paediatric ENT rotations at The Children's Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.

To further develop his surgical expertise, Dr Yeung completed international fellowship training in 2004, undertaking advanced rhinology and endoscopic skull base training with Professor D.S. Sethi at Singapore General Hospital, followed by a nine-month Otology Fellowship at Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, United Kingdom, under Professor G. O'Donoghue. He also attended advanced surgical workshops in Singapore, the United States and France.

Since his consultant appointment in 2005, Dr Yeung has maintained public hospital appointments at Bankstown Hospital and Liverpool Hospital, where he participates in the management of acute ENT emergencies. He also operates at several private hospitals, including Strathfield Private Hospital, Sydney Day Surgery, Westmead Private Hospital, Sydney Private Hospital and Sydney South West Private Hospital.

Dr Yeung is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and a member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ASOHNS).
