Dr Alicia O'Connor

Dr Alicia O'Connor is a highly qualified and dedicated Consultant Dermatologist who provides comprehensive care for a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. With a patient-centred approach, she is committed to delivering personalised and evidence-based treatments to both adult and paediatric patients. Dr O'Connor focuses on ensuring her patients feel reassured and well-informed throughout their dermatological journey, addressing both medical and surgical concerns with the utmost professionalism.

Dr O'Connor completed her medical degree at the University of Notre Dame Sydney, graduating in 2011. Prior to her medical career, she earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney and practised as a Physiotherapist. Her postgraduate training includes a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from Queen Mary University of London. She completed her rigorous specialist training in Dermatology across several leading teaching hospitals and specialist centres in Sydney. In 2019, she was awarded the prestigious American Academy of Dermatology prize for her outstanding performance in her fellowship examinations. Dr O'Connor is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer, teaching and examining medical students.

In her clinical practice, Dr O'Connor manages a diverse spectrum of dermatological conditions. She has a particular interest in general adult and paediatric dermatology, skin cancer prevention and management, and inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Her expertise also extends to advanced therapies, including the use of biologics, and the treatment of complex disorders such as hidradenitis suppurativa and hyperhidrosis. Through her broad training and dedication to ongoing research, Dr O'Connor ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of modern dermatological care.
