Dr Alicia Braund is a highly dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Braund commenced her medical journey by earning a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with Honours, providing her with a unique and valuable perspective on the role of diet in gastrointestinal health. She subsequently studied Medicine at Griffith University, graduating with her medical degree in 2008. Following her graduation, she completed her comprehensive specialist training at prominent tertiary referral hospitals in Queensland. Dr Braund is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), reflecting her high standards of clinical excellence and ongoing commitment to her field.

In her clinical practice, Dr Braund specialises in a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. Her areas of expertise include diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and adenoma detection. She also has a particular interest in liver disease management and upper gastrointestinal disorders. In addition to her clinical consultations, she serves as a Staff Specialist in Hepatology, further demonstrating her dedication to advanced patient care.
