About Dr Albert Jung
Dr. Albert Jung is a highly respected gynaecologist and fertility specialist renowned for his expertise in laparoscopic surgery, including management of endometriosis. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Albert earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland and subsequently completed his specialist training in southeast Queensland.
Driven by a commitment to excellence, Dr. Albert further honed his skills in laparoscopic surgery by undertaking the prestigious two-year AGES Laparoscopic Fellowship. His clinical interests cover a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and infertility. Dr. Albert holds a Masters in Reproductive Medicine from the University of New South Wales.
Dedicated to providing comprehensive care, he collaborates regularly with a multidisciplinary team for the management of persistent pelvic pain. He holds a public appointment at Mater Hospital in South Brisbane.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Albert is actively engaged in medical education and research. He serves as a reviewer for the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ANZJOG). He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland Medical School. He is passionate about mentoring junior medical staff and is involved in conducting workshops aimed at enhancing surgical skills and understanding pelvic anatomy. He sits on the AGES Education Committee, is a regular faculty member of anatomy and laparoscopic skills workshops and is a member of the RANZCOG Queensland State Committee.

Dr Jung is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and experienced. He put me at ease from the very first appointment. I had a laporoscopy for suspected endometriosis as I’d been experiencing increasing period pain over the years and my husband and I had not been successful in falling pregnant. He was able to remove all of the endometriosis for me and a few weeks after the operation I fell pregnant!

My experience with Dr Jung was great. Everything is carefully explained. My situation was a bit complicated, but Dr. Jung clearly explained everything involved in my procedure.
