Dr Wui Hang Cheung

Dr Wui Hang Cheung is an accomplished Consultant Diabetologist and Consultant Endocrinologist who provides dedicated, patient-centred care across all aspects of Endocrinology & Diabetes. Known for his compassionate approach, Dr Cheung is committed to helping patients effectively manage complex hormonal and metabolic conditions. He works closely with individuals to deliver tailored management strategies that prioritise patient safety, long-term health, and overall quality of life.

His clinical practice covers a broad range of conditions within Endocrinology & Diabetes, with particular expertise in inpatient diabetes care, type 1 and type 2 diabetes management, renal diabetes, and pre-operative diabetes optimisation. Dr Cheung also focuses on weight management, the prevention and treatment of hypoglycaemia, and general endocrine disorders. Working alongside multi-professional clinical teams, he emphasises holistic care and the prevention of diabetes-related complications through modernised, high-quality care pathways.

Dr Cheung qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and went on to complete advanced postgraduate research toward a doctoral degree specialising in diabetes care. He is actively involved in national healthcare leadership, serving as Chair of the Diabetes UK Professional Conference Committee and as a key member of the Joint British Diabetes Societies for Inpatient Care Group. Selected as a Diabetes UK Clinical Champion, Dr Cheung has led initiatives that earned his clinical team the Royal College of Physicians Excellence in Patient Care Award.
