Are you William Rudge?
Mr William Rudge is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and upper limb conditions, with a particular focus on joint replacement and rehabilitation. He qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 2004, later completing his orthopaedic training on the South West Thames rotation. His training included a year at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Stanmore, where he gained valuable experience in complex shoulder and elbow procedures, as well as peripheral nerve injuries.
In 2013, Dr Rudge became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He then completed two advanced fellowships: one at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, focusing on shoulder arthroscopy, and another at RNOH, centred on complex shoulder and elbow reconstruction. As the Watanabe Travelling Fellow, he further expanded his expertise by visiting leading arthroscopic surgery centres across the UK and Ireland.
Appointed as a Consultant at RNOH in 2016, Mr Rudge’s practice is dedicated entirely to shoulder and elbow disorders, including instability, rotator cuff injury, arthritis, fractures, and tendon pathology. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care. He is an active member of several professional societies and a reviewer for The Bone & Joint Journal.
