Dr Vinay Parmar

Dr Vinay Parmar is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist who specialises in advanced diagnostic imaging and image-guided interventional procedures. Working alongside clinical colleagues and orthopaedic specialists, he provides precise radiological interpretation to help identify the root cause of symptoms and support tailored treatment plans. His practice focuses on delivering clear diagnostic clarity and targeted therapeutic options to reassure patients and improve their quality of life.

His clinical expertise covers a wide range of radiological modalities, including general cross-sectional imaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound. Dr Parmar regularly performs and interprets diagnostic scans for conditions affecting the spine, shoulders, knees, elbows, wrists, ankles, and feet. In addition to diagnostic reporting, he offers a comprehensive range of ultrasound-guided therapeutic treatments, such as joint, tendon, and bursa injections, hydrodilatation for frozen shoulder, barbotage for tendon calcification, nerve root injections, and soft tissue biopsies.

Dr Parmar completed his medical degree at Leicester Medical School, where he also earned a First-Class Honours degree in Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Imaging. He undertook core radiology training through the Nottingham radiology training scheme and subsequently completed specialist musculoskeletal radiology fellowship training in Liverpool and Southampton. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma from the European Society of Skeletal Radiology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists.
