Dr Vijay Deore

Dr Vijay Deore is an Orthopaedic Consultant. Dr Deore holds a primary medical qualification and a Master's degree in Orthopaedics. They undertook higher surgical training in Orthopaedics from Leicester (East Midlands South rotation). Dr Deore has completed the internationally recognised Upper Limb Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, the Leicester Shoulder Fellowship and the BOA accredited Upper Limb Fellowship at University Hospitals of North Tees.

Dr Deore's areas of interest include hand and wrist disorders, including Basal thumb arthritis and Dupuytren's contractures. They work with a team of anaesthetic and orthopaedics surgery colleagues and promotes awake upper limb surgery.

Dr Deore participates in research collaborations on a local, national and international level and is committed to the continuing development of their professional and academic career. They have published articles in The Bone and Joint Journal. Outside of work, Dr Deore is a keen swimmer and participates in swimathon events regularly. They also enjoy spending time with their family.
