Dr Vicki Uwannah

Dr Vicki Uwannah is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 15 years of experience in mental health. She has worked in the NHS and education sector and now operates a private practice mainly online, offering therapy and coaching services to individuals and corporate clients throughout the UK. She also has an in-person clinic on Thursdays in Sutton Coldfield. 

Dr Uwannah works with individuals, groups and couples, providing both short and long-term therapy. As a flexible and integrative practitioner, she tailors her approach to the needs of each individual client, drawing on her training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mentalization Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and elements of Relaxation, Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy. 

Dr Uwannah's experience covers working with individuals at all stages of the lifespan, as well as in specialist areas such as group therapy, relational work with couples and families, schools, and corporate environments. She aims to bring clarity, compassion, and understanding to her clients to help propel them towards change. 

Dr Uwannah values connecting with her clients in a down-to-earth and relatable way, while remaining professional and effective. She believes that therapy can also be a time of curious exploration and humour and offers a free 15-minute telephone consultation to help prospective clients determine if she is the right therapist for them.
