Dr. Matty Chalk

Dr Matty Chalk is an experienced Psychologist and Clinical Director with expertise in neurodevelopmental assessment and support across the lifespan. He works within both NHS and independent services, supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families to better understand neurodevelopmental differences and identify appropriate support pathways.

His principal area of expertise is the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, including individuals who present with both conditions. 

Dr Chalk's work extends beyond diagnosis to helping individuals and families understand the practical implications of assessment outcomes, supporting them in identifying strategies, accommodations, and next steps that can improve wellbeing and day-to-day functioning.

Alongside his clinical practice, he holds a leadership role as Clinical Director, where he provides professional supervision, clinical governance, and service oversight. He is responsible for maintaining high standards of assessment quality, ethical practice, and patient care across multidisciplinary teams.

His professional interests include autism and ADHD assessment, neurodevelopmental conditions across childhood and adulthood, child and adolescent mental health, emotional and behavioural wellbeing, family support, clinical leadership, and governance. He is recognised for his thoughtful, compassionate, and person-centred approach, ensuring that assessments are both clinically robust and meaningful for the individuals and families he supports.
