About Mr Venugopal Guduri
Mr Venugopal Guduri is a consultant orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon with extensive experience in treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. He has been practising as a foot and ankle surgeon since 2019 and is a BOFAS fellowship-trained specialist, currently working as a consultant at Walsall Manor Hospital and practising at Spire Little Aston Hospital.
During his orthopaedic training, Mr Guduri gained comprehensive experience in managing trauma and orthopaedic conditions. He further developed his expertise in foot and ankle surgery through fellowships at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham and King’s College Hospital in London. He specialises in both surgical and minimally invasive techniques for a variety of conditions, including Achilles injuries, foot and ankle arthritis, Morton’s neuroma, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, sprains, fractures, and toe deformities.
Mr Guduri is particularly skilled in performing ankle and subtalar arthroscopies, bunion removal, and a range of procedures for the forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot. His expertise also includes ingrown toenail treatments and the use of steroid injections for pain relief and inflammation management.
His clinical interests include ankle surgery, foot surgery, and joint injections. He is passionate about medical education and actively contributes to the training of junior doctors and registrars, regularly participating in departmental teaching. He is also dedicated to scientific research and patient care, monitoring treatment outcomes through patient-reported outcome measures (PROMS) to ensure the highest standards of care. He currently serves as the Education Lead at Walsall Manor Hospital.
Mr Guduri holds an MBBS from NTR University of Health Sciences in India, where he also completed his MS in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He later achieved his MRCS from the Intercollegiate Glasgow - Royal College of Surgeons and his FRCS from the Intercollegiate - Royal College of Surgeons England. He is a member of professional organisations including MDU, BOA, BOFAS, and BIOS.

R/V of wound and lightweight plaster cast applied, manipulating foot to therapeutic healing position. Limited stock, went out of his way to search for a colour to be more pleasant to look at. Clear introduction & checks on pain management & suggested better analgesia, checking taking anti clotting injections. He ensured i had my follow up review with cast removed and xray.
