Dr Vasanta Nanduri

Dr Vasanta Nanduri is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician who provides expert clinical care across general and specialist paediatric disciplines. Dedicated to improving the health and well-being of infants, children, and young people, she delivers comprehensive and empathetic care. Her clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and managing a wide range of childhood medical conditions, ensuring that every patient receives individualised and family-focused treatment.

Dr Nanduri has developed sub-speciality expertise in Paediatric Haematology, Paediatric Oncology, and Paediatric Endocrinology. Her work in paediatric haematology and oncology involves the diagnosis and management of childhood cancers, mass lesions, lymphadenopathy, anaemia, neutropaenia, immune thrombocytopenia, bleeding disorders, and sickle cell disease. Within paediatric endocrinology, she provides targeted care for children experiencing growth disturbances, disorders of early or delayed puberty, thyroid conditions, and pituitary disorders. Additionally, she is internationally recognised for her specialist focus on rare histiocytic conditions, including Langerhans cell histiocytosis and haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.

Dr Nanduri completed her primary medical qualification (MBBS) in 1986 before undertaking postgraduate qualifications, earning a Doctor of Medicine degree alongside a Diploma in Child Health. She achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and was later elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Her professional commitment is reflected in her active memberships, which include the General Medical Council, the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group, the European Consortium of Histiocytic Disorders, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology, and the Histiocyte Society.
