Dr Tony Mathew

Dr. Tony Mathew is a consultant in clinical oncology for gynaecological and lung cancers at Sheffield Oncology. He has previously been a consultant in clinical oncology for gynaecological and lung cancers at Sheffield teaching hospitals, managing and initiating systemic therapy, radiation therapy, and brachytherapy.

He has extensive experience managing and initiating radiation therapy and systemic treatments. He is highly skilled in cancer management, having completed a fellowship focused on gynaecological and lung cancer radiation therapy in Australia, as well as being the principal investigator for numerous clinical trials related to cancer care. In addition, he has had his research on breast cancer published in the International Journal of Radiology & Radiation Therapy.

Dr. Mathew gained his medical degree in 2009 at the University of Sheffield. He also completed a two-year clinical research fellowship focused on gynaecological and lung cancer management in Melbourne, Australia. Alongside his role at Sheffield Oncology, he is also an honorary clinical teacher at the University of Sheffield.
