About Mr Timothy Eves

Mr Timothy Eves is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions. He has particular expertise in primary and complex shoulder joint replacement (arthroplasty) and arthroscopic shoulder surgery. He manages a wide spectrum of conditions including traumatic injuries, arthritis, tendon disorders and sports-related problems, always aiming to provide clear, personalised advice so that patients can make informed decisions and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Mr Eves completed his undergraduate degree at King’s College London before graduating in medicine from University College London (UCL). He undertook specialist orthopaedic training on the prestigious Stanmore rotation, one of the UK’s leading tertiary orthopaedic training programmes. He achieved advanced professional qualifications including FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) and the European Board qualification (FEBOT). He then completed over three years of dedicated fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery at major centres including Brighton, Sheffield and St George’s Hospitals. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, further enhancing his diagnostic expertise.

In his NHS role at Bedfordshire NHS Trust, Mr Eves treats both acute injuries and chronic degenerative conditions affecting the upper limb. He is actively involved in teaching and training junior doctors and surgeons and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and orthopaedic book chapters.

He takes time to listen carefully, explain diagnoses and outline treatment options in detail, working collaboratively to develop an individualised plan. Whether recommending physiotherapy, guided injections or surgical intervention, he focuses on evidence-based care. When performing shoulder joint replacement or arthroscopic procedures, he prioritises meticulous planning, minimally invasive techniques where appropriate and restoring function to support a safe return to daily activities and sport.
