Mr Thomas Joseph is a highly experienced Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with over three decades of medical practice. He earned his medical degree (MB BS) from Mahatma Gandhi University in 1991 and completed a Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery from Bangalore University before moving to the UK in 1997. He received his Certificate of Completion of Training in Vascular and General Surgery in 2007, following structured training in the West Midlands.
Mr Joseph currently provides NHS care at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, working within the centralised vascular unit at Royal Preston Hospital. He also offers private consultations at The Beardwood Hospital and Buckshaw Hospital through Circle Health. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of varicose veins, peripheral vascular disease, aortic aneurysms, and carotid endarterectomy for stroke prevention.
Previously a substantive consultant at the Cumberland Infirmary, Mr Joseph has continually evolved with the specialty as vascular surgery became a distinct field. He is also actively involved in education and professional development as a Trainer, Appraiser, and Zonal Lead.

I am thoroughly happy with my overall results of my surgery with Mr Thomas Joseph. The discomfort I was in has hugely reduced to next to none. The service he provided was very professional and he made me feel very comfortable in and out of the operating theatre. Mr Thomas Joseph reassured me throughout my surgery when I got overwhelmed with it all and answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to choose him if I was to ever need further varicose vein surgery in the future.
