Dr Thomas Erblich is a fully qualified Consultant Haematologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London, where he runs a general haematology clinic, and supervises the care of patients on the chemotherapy unit
While his practice encompasses the full breadth of general haematology, he has a particular expertise in haemato-oncology and lymphoma. He serves as the named consultant for lymphoma and is a Principal Investigator for haematology clinical trials.
Dr Erblich graduated from the Medical University of Vienna in 2006. Dr Erblich sees patients with a wide range of haematological conditions, including abnormal blood counts, lymph node enlargement, iron disorders, MGUS, lymphoma, leukaemia, myeloma and other blood diseases. His practice emphasises timely diagnosis, clear communication and personalised care tailored to each individual's circumstances and priorities.
Consultations are available for newly diagnosed patients, individuals seeking a second opinion and those requiring ongoing monitoring or treatment.
Depending on the underlying condition, treatment may involve intravenous iron therapy, blood transfusion, venesection, chemotherapy, immunotherapy or targeted therapies.
Dr Erblich is experienced in performing bone marrow aspiration and trephine biopsy. He is fully trained and accredited in procedural sedation, ensuring that these procedures are performed with particular attention to patient comfort, dignity and safety.
When more complex investigation or treatment is required, Dr Erblich works closely with specialist nurses, pathologists, radiologists, oncologists and fellow haematologists to ensure every aspect of a patient's case is carefully considered. Established links with specialist centres allow seamless referral for advanced treatments, including stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy, when appropriate.

Dr Erblich is an exceptional doctor. He is knowledgeable, empathetic and professional. I have been seeing him for several years now and he has been a great help in negotiating a complex condition..
Dr Erblich always takes the time to listen carefully, never rushes appointments, and never dismisses any concerns, no matter how small they may seem. Everything is explained clearly and in a way that’s easy to understand, which has given us a lot of confidence and reassurance. What we appreciate most is that he involves both my mum and our family in every decision about her care, making us feel heard.
