Dr. Aicha Bouraoui is a Consultant Rheumatologist and Divisional Medical Information Officer at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. She has special clinical interest in inflammatory arthritis and she leads the Early Inflammatory Arthritis service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH). She holds an Honorary Consultant role in Adolescent Rheumatology at UCLH.
With specialist training in London and the East of England, her interests span clinical leadership, population health, and quality improvement. She completed a Darzi Fellowship in Clinical Leadership and a coaching fellowship at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
Dr. Bouraoui leads Pathway to Equity, a Health Foundation-funded programme focused on reducing non-attendance among young people in rheumatology care. The team was recognised amongst the top 30 global improvers in the BMJ-IHI international forum on quality and safety in healthcare Oslo 2026.
Aicha serves as the Long-Term Conditions Block Lead at QEH, where she oversees the Year 5 placement and teaching for KCL medical students.
Aicha is an Adolescent Health Advisor to the CSAC at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and an improvement content advisor for the Royal College of Physicians' improvement hub.
An accredited health coach and advocate for personalised care, she is passionate about empowering patients to manage long-term conditions through person-centred approaches.
