Dr Syed Mehdi

Dr Syed Mehdi is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Reconstructive Surgeon with over 25 years of experience. Dr Mehdi is trained in all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, with a special interest in Aesthetic Surgery including post bariatric surgery and body contouring. He is highly skilled and experienced performing a range of procedures, including otoplasty, breast reduction, mastopexy & other uplift procedures, melanoma procedures, sentinel node biopsy, axillary dissections and other skin cancer procedures.

Dr Mehdi completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at the University of Karachi in 1988. Following this he completed a Fellowship in Surgery with the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, and gained experience working in hospitals in Ireland until 1999. In 2000, he joined a UK University Hospital as an Associate Specialist in Plastic Surgery, where he ran clinics and performed surgeries independently on aesthetic cases. Before returning to the UK in 2013 as a Senior Surgeon in St. Georges University hospital, London, Mr Mehdi served as Assistant Professor of Plastic & Hand Surgery at Aga Khan University Hospital. He has been published extensively in reputable journals, demonstrating his expertise in reconstructive and hand surgery. His innovative techniques have set him apart as a leader in this field.
