Dr Sujit Mukherjee

Dr Sujit Mukherjee is an experienced Gastroenterologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive care for patients with digestive and hepatic disorders. Operating with a patient-centred philosophy, he prioritises thorough assessments and clear communication to ensure every individual receives a personalised care plan. Dr Mukherjee works alongside multi-disciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high standards of clinical excellence.

In clinical practice, Dr Mukherjee focuses on a wide spectrum of digestive diseases and liver pathologies. His areas of clinical interest include general gastroenterology, complex liver disease, drug-induced liver injury, acute decompensation of cirrhosis, and metabolic liver conditions. He is skilled in diagnostic and emergency upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, as well as evaluating patients requiring advanced hepatology care and pre-transplant liver evaluations.

Dr Mukherjee completed his academic training at the University of Cambridge, obtaining a Master of Arts degree, and earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of London. He subsequently achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) specialising in liver immunology and translational medicine.
