Dr Sue Kenneally is a well experienced General Practitioner and Weight Loss Specialist at Thriva Health with over 17 years of experience. Her professional journey has been shaped by an interest in nutrition and weight management, particularly in a region of the UK with one of the highest prevalences of overweight and obese individuals.

Dr Kenneally completed her medical degree at Barts Medical School in 1995 and became qualified as a General Practitioner in 2001. She later completed her Master’s degree in Nutritional Medicine at the University of Surrey and became a Registered Associate Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition (ANutr). Dr Kenneally holds a Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine from the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine and is the Co-Founder of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, where she also serves as a director and nutrition lead. She is also SCOPE certified, the only internationally recognised qualification in obesity management. With her expertise, she actively collaborates with the Association for the Study of Obesity and the University of South Wales where she is a Tutor for the Weight Management Course.

Alongside her work at Thriva Health, Dr Kenneally serves as a bariatric physician in a specialised multidisciplinary weight management clinic. She also holds the position of Wales Lead for the Association for the Study of Obesity, Board Member of the Welsh Obesity Society and Adult Weight Management Lead for the Royal College of General Practitioners Nutrition Committee.
