Dr. Sudhakar Allamsetty

Dr Sudhakar Allamsetty is an experienced General Practitioner based in Grimsby with more than 16 years of clinical experience in UK primary care. He completed his VTS training in Grimsby in 2009 and has since combined clinical practice with leadership, education, and research. He works as a GP Partner and Clinical Director at the SLC Medical Group PCN and also practises at St Hugh’s Hospital and Illumina Diagnostics. His background includes extensive work in cardiology, diabetes, prescribing governance, and medical education, and he has previously served as Clinical Lead for Prescribing and Appraiser at the North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

Dr Allamsetty holds multiple postgraduate qualifications across cardiology, diabetes, and medical education and has cleared MRCP Part 1 and Part 2. His clinical interests include Diabetes management with insulin initiation and titration, cardiovascular health, joint injections for large and small joints, Ear micro-suction and irrigation, cryotherapy, and skin tag cautery. His work is underpinned by a commitment to evidence-based care and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Alongside his clinical duties, Dr Allamsetty is a GP Trainer, Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Hull York Medical School, and supervises GP registrars, FY2 doctors, and medical students. His leadership responsibilities span clinical governance, mentoring, and service development across primary care. He is currently completing an MBA in Healthcare Management at Warwick University with a dissertation focusing on the role of artificial intelligence within healthcare systems.
