Dr Shereen Ibrahim

Dr. Shereen Ibrahim is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a professional career spanning over two decades. After graduating from Cairo University, she completed her initial postgraduate training in Egypt and gained extensive clinical experience in Saudi Arabia before moving to the United Kingdom. Since joining the NHS in 2018, she progressed through higher specialty training in the East of England Deanery and was awarded her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in August 2024.

In her current role as a consultant at Lister Hospital (East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust), Dr. Ibrahim focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care with a particular emphasis on benign gynaecology and ambulatory services. She is highly skilled in minimal access techniques, including both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries, and manages a wide range of complex procedures such as open and laparoscopic hysterectomies. Alongside her clinical duties, she is an active researcher and medical educator who has presented her work nationally and internationally at prestigious RCOG and ESGE conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Dedicated to women’s health throughout all stages of life, her practice covers general gynaecology, chronic pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, and fibroid care. She also possesses specialized expertise in menopause management and HRT, offering tailored, holistic care and minimally invasive surgical techniques designed to ensure prompt and smooth recovery for her patients.
