Dr Sheena Sikka

Dr. Sheena Sikka is a highly skilled physician specialising in Acute and General Internal Medicine. With extensive experience in managing patients with complex medical conditions, she prioritises same-day diagnostics and assessment to provide prompt and effective care. She is part of core team of Medical Physicians at the Physicians Clinic, Devonshire Street to provide the first privately run Rapid Access Medical Clinic with on the day diagnostics and assessment, seeing patients from Urgent Care Centres, Private GPs and other Consultant specialists.

In her role as the Clinical Lead for Same Day Emergency Care at UCLH (University College London Hospitals), Dr. Sikka oversees a rapid access clinic and assessment unit, ensuring that patients receive timely diagnostics and specialist input. She is an integral part of the General medical on-call rota at UCLH and actively manages the Acute Medicine Unit, which includes a 56-bed unit and an Enhanced Care Unit for patients requiring intensive medical care. She has gained valuable expertise in managing acute COVID-19 patients as well as individuals experiencing Long COVID-19, focusing on long-term sequelae.

Dr. Sikka strongly believes in patient-centred care and actively involves her patients in the decision-making process for their treatment plans. She completed her medical degree at University College London, earning Merit Honors, and also holds an intercalated degree in Medical Sciences with Pharmacology.

Throughout her training, Dr. Sikka has rotated through various hospitals in London, gaining comprehensive experience in Acute Medicine as well as specialised roles in Respiratory, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Intensive Care, and Elderly Care Medicine. She obtained her CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Acute and General Internal Medicine in 2018.

Dr. Sikka's passion for education led her to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Edinburgh in 2019. Her commitment to ongoing learning and her dedication to providing exceptional patient care make her a valued and trusted healthcare professional in her field.
