Dr Shayan Ahmed

Dr Shayan Ahmed is a highly accomplished Consultant Radiologist who specialises in musculoskeletal and urological imaging. He works closely with patients requiring expert diagnostic assessments for a wide range of conditions affecting the bones, joints, soft tissues, and urinary tract. Combining advanced imaging techniques with a patient-focused approach, Dr Ahmed is dedicated to delivering precise and reassuring care to help guide subsequent treatment pathways.

In his clinical practice, Dr Ahmed routinely performs a comprehensive array of general and musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound scans. He is particularly skilled in performing complex ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal interventions and therapeutic injections, which provide targeted relief and diagnostic clarity for joint and soft tissue disorders. His expertise also encompasses the interpretation of high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scans, and plain film radiography (X-rays).

Dr Ahmed graduated from King's College London with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Distinction in 2011, having also obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours. He completed his core specialist training in clinical radiology across several major hospitals in the East Anglia region. Following this, he undertook advanced subspecialty fellowship training in musculoskeletal and trauma imaging at two internationally renowned medical institutions. Dr Ahmed is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and is a Diplomate Member of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK, holding the DFSEM (UK) qualification. He is also actively involved in medical education, regularly teaching on specialist radiology courses and contributing to national clinical imaging groups.
