Dr Shayan Ahmed

Dr Shayan Ahmed is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in clinical radiology with a primary focus on oncological and urological imaging. He earned his medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Birmingham in 2011 before completing specialised training in clinical radiology and attaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2018. In his NHS consultant role at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, he serves as an integral part of the oncology imaging team, delivering precision diagnostics and expert reporting for complex cancer cases.

Throughout his career, Dr Ahmed has developed a sub-specialist interest in uroradiology, particularly in the application and interpretation of multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) for the early detection, characterisation, and staging of prostate cancer. As a key member of the Urology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), his imaging insights help shape targeted treatment pathways for complex cancer patients.
