My appointment was a Post operative follow up, upon arrival I was seen very promptly and treated with courtesy throughout .
Initial consultation was very quick after I decided to go private and I felt very comfortable with the options described by Mr Miakhil. I felt confident that I’d made right choice by selecting him as his knowledge and information were very clear and precise. Days after the initial consultation I was offered a choice if dates and I selected the date which was convenient to me. Fast forward to the op, everything went very well, there was no pain after the HOLeP procedure and the after care was excellent. The following days there was no pain and very limited bleeding and now 2 months later apart from the odd blood clot, everything is clear and I can wee normally again which hasn’t happened for years
Post operative appointment today following my HoLEP procedure. Given good news today that everything went to plan and no further intervention needed. Having been diagnosed with a very large prostrate and having to use a permanent catheter for the last 18 months I was advised that i needed surgery. Due to the size of the prostrate I was advised that a HoLEP would be the best option. Following my procedure in June 2026 I have now been catheter free. My stomach pain has gone. I made a speedy recovery with no issues, I also had minimal bleeding which stop completely after a few days. Being catheter free I am now having to get up only once during the night to pass urine. As it is still only 7 weeks post operation I feel this is a fantastic result. I am feeling very positive now both physically and mentally.
I came into the consultion with a number of issues. Mr Sayed Miakhil put me at ease and explained so i could understand what was to happen.
My overall impression is that I was being treated with excellent professional care. I felt that my care was personal for example when I needed extra care my consultant spoke to me personally. Would this recommend my consultant snd his team .
I had been suffering from terrible pain which meant I could not sit down and limited sleep for weeks. I combination of antibiotics and Holep operation has resolved everything and six weeks later I feel back to normal.
Mr Iqbal (and his team) were fantastic. I was kept fully informed and updated on a regular basis. Recovery was really well and thoughtfully managed. A great success and whilst 'prostrate cancer' can mean many things, Mr Iqbal's patience and care made this an accessable and practical matter. I cannot reccomend him and thank him enough. Unlikely thing to say about your urologist, but he is now one of my best buddies! God Bless and thank you!
Mr Miakhil has a warm professional manner that is extremely reassuring. He takes time to explain processes clearly and answers questions patiently and fully.
Fantastic colleague and a highly regarded urological surgeon. I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends and family.
