Miss Sarah Tang is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at St George's University Hospital in London, also seeing private patients at New Victoria Hospital and Parkside Hospital. She has expertise in treating breast cancer and benign breast conditions. She offers a one-stop clinic where she sees patients with new breast symptoms (such as breast lumps and breast pain) and offers same day imaging and reporting. Additionally she is experienced in the management of breast-feeding related problems and can also advise on HRT issues. Miss Tang offers a wide range of cosmetic surgeries including breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, and breast asymmetry correction.
She is particularly interested in the use of technology to localise breast lumps and avoid the need for wires or radioactive injections for breast cancer surgery. This improves the patient experience and reduces uncomfortable procedures. Additionally, she offers immediate reconstruction using breast implants and acellular dermal matrix following full mastectomies.
Miss Tang graduated with her medical degree from the University of Cambridge in 2002 before training in London and the South West Thames region. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014 and went on to attain a Master's degree in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery in 2016. She is dedicated to research and earned a research degree from the Institute of Cancer Research and the University of London in 2015. She is a recent recipient of the Royal College of Surgeons Pump Priming grant for research and an Association of Breast Surgery Research and Development grant to study margins in breast conserving surgery for breast cancer.
Miss Tang is strongly engaged in building the surgical workforce of the future. She is the educational lead for the breast unit at St George's, a senior lecturer at St George's University of London and has been appointed Surgical Tutor, overseeing the training of junior surgeons at St George's Hospital.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cycling and developing her repertoire for a diploma in piano performance.

Miss Tang and Dr Reddy demonstrated considerable kindness and empathy whilst I was struggling bitterly after recent surgery, after having been let down by New Victoria Hospital.

Miss Tang was very understanding- she listened carefully and following tests gave me a full explanation of my condition.

I am so relieved and thankful for Ms Tang recommendations on my treatment, surgery and recovery. I have taken all her advice in to consideration and I am satisfied with my recovery. I would say I look forward to seeing you again soon, but in all honesty , I really hope I won’t. ( Unless it’s only on positive note )

I cannot recommend Dr Tang highly enough. From the moment that she greeted me, she put me at my ease, explaining the whole process and my test results so clearly and was more than willing to answer any questions I had.

Miss Tang explained everything clearly and calmly and wrote down important information for me to refer to later. She answered all my questions and gave me time to take on board what she was saying. I didn't feel rushed, and I know she must be very busy.

My experience with Miss Sarah Tang has been amazing since the beginning of my treatment. Not only did she explained everything to me and my husband in a very clear manner but she has also been very supportive, kind and friendly. She has taken great care of my health. She performed a successful mastectomy together with a high quality reconstruction of my right breast and made it look almost identical to my left breast. I will always be very grateful to Miss Tang for her outstanding quality of medical care.
