Dr Sarah Ali

Dr Sarah Ali is a highly accomplished Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist who is dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with endocrine disorders and diabetes. She serves as a Clinical Lead for both antenatal diabetes and integrated community diabetes services within a prominent London NHS trust. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Ali focuses on delivering comprehensive, high-quality care that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual, helping them manage complex conditions and improve their overall quality of life.

Her clinical interests span a wide range of areas within endocrinology and diabetes, with a particular focus on integrated community diabetes care, diabetes in pregnancy, and the management of type 2 diabetes. Dr Ali is deeply committed to addressing health inequalities, particularly within minority ethnic communities, and has published extensive research on diabetes management during Ramadan and the impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable populations. She also serves as a Principal Investigator for clinical studies exploring advanced multi-organ imaging in type 2 diabetes, demonstrating her commitment to integrating cutting-edge scientific research into clinical practice.

Dr Ali completed her medical degree at the University of Oxford and undertook her specialist training in diabetes in North West London and at Imperial College London, where she also spent a year as a Clinical Research Fellow investigating eating behaviours and brain reward systems.
