Dr Sara Fenu

Dr Sara Fenu is a highly experienced Consultant Geriatrician with a specialisation in Cognitive Disorders, Dementia, and Geriatric Psychiatry. With many years of experience as a Consultant Geriatrician in a Neurorehabilitation ward and Centre for Cognitive Disorders in Italy, Dr Fenu is currently working as an Old Age Psychiatrist at the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster Memory Service, a specialist service for people of any age who are experiencing cognitive difficulties.

Dr Fenu's areas of expertise include a broad range of cognitive disorders, cognitive impairment, mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s dementia, Fronto-Temporal Dementia, Lewy Body Dementia, Vascular Dementia, Alcohol Related Brain Damage, Dementia in Parkinson’s disease, and other parkinsonism. She is also experienced in dealing with behavioural and psychological symptoms of Dementia, Delirium, Anxiety, and Depression in the Elderly, and Sleep Disorders.

Dr Fenu has an impressive educational background, which includes a Doctor of Medicine from Sassari University, Italy, Geriatric Medicine Training, a Master’s Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuropsychiatry of Adults and Elderly, and a Master’s Degree in Interface of geriatric medicine and directorship of health & social services in nursing homes and community.

Dr Fenu is a member of the British Geriatric Society and the British Association for Psychopharmacology. Additionally, she has several diplomas in various fields, including Multisensory Approach, Basic User of Dementia Care Mapping, and Theoretical and Practical Advance Training in Neuropsychological Testing.
