Dr Santosh Nair

Dr Santosh Nair is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to patients presenting with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Specialising in general cardiology, heart rhythm disturbances, and heart failure, he offers thorough diagnostic evaluations and tailored treatment strategies. Dr Nair prioritises clear communication, ensuring patients feel informed, reassured, and supported throughout every stage of their cardiac care.

With advanced expertise in cardiac rhythm management, Dr Nair specialises in cardiac device therapies designed to treat heart rhythm disorders and support heart muscle function. His clinical interests encompass bradycardia pacing, complex pacing, and the implantation of Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs), Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy (CRT) devices, and loop recorders. Additionally, he manages complex heart failure cases and general cardiology concerns, utilising evidence-based approaches to optimise cardiovascular health and improve overall quality of life.

Dr Nair qualified in medicine after completing his undergraduate medical degree in London. He subsequently undertook specialised cardiology and internal medicine training on the South East Thames rotation, earning accreditation in device therapy from Heart Rhythm UK (HRUK) and the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). A dedicated educator, Dr Nair serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer and lead for undergraduate cardiology teaching, actively contributing to the training of future doctors. He holds professional membership with the Heart Rhythm Society.
