Dr Samir Mahboobani

Dr Samir Mahboobani is an experienced Consultant Radiologist specialising in thoracic and cardiothoracic imaging. He focuses on diagnosing and monitoring a broad range of lung and chest conditions, utilising advanced diagnostic technology to evaluate complex respiratory and cardiovascular disorders. Dr Mahboobani works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver thorough, patient-centred diagnostic care, ensuring that individuals feel supported throughout their diagnostic journey.

Dr Mahboobani earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Imperial College London, graduating with multiple academic distinctions. He completed his specialist postgraduate radiology training within leading London NHS teaching institutions, followed by dedicated fellowship training focused on complex thoracic interventions and specialist chest radiology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR).

In his clinical practice, Dr Mahboobani possesses detailed expertise in thoracic imaging, cardiovascular risk assessment, and non-invasive vascular imaging. His sub-speciality interests include the evaluation of lung pathology, CT-guided thoracic interventions, cardiac CT imaging, and carotid artery Doppler ultrasound scans. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr Mahboobani actively contributes to medical education and specialist training, holding senior leadership roles in cardiothoracic radiology training and lecturing nationally on thoracic disease imaging.
