Dr Iram Zaman

Dr Iram Zaman is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist practising at Eleos Clinic. She has extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions in children and young people. Her clinical work includes the treatment of anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, depression and mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and intellectual disabilities.

She carries out comprehensive psychiatric assessments and provides ongoing management, including ADHD and autism assessments, psychoeducation, medication prescribing, and family-based interventions. Her clinical approach incorporates cognitive behavioural and systemic approaches alongside psychopharmacology, supporting a multidisciplinary and holistic model of care.

Dr Zaman has over sixteen years of experience working across community and inpatient mental health settings within the NHS. She completed her medical degree at Imperial College London, graduating with an MBBS and a BSc in Medical Sciences, and subsequently completed her specialist training in the West Midlands Deanery. She is listed on the General Medical Council specialist register and is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

She has particular expertise in neurodevelopmental conditions, including ADHD and autism, as well as intellectual disabilities. She also has a clinical interest in the interaction between physical and mental health. Her work is grounded in a holistic and structured approach, supporting children, young people, and their families.
