Dr Sally Thrower

Dr Sally Thrower is an experienced Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care for individuals managing a wide spectrum of endocrine, metabolic, and diabetic conditions. Dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, Dr Thrower works closely with patients to create individualised management plans that empower them to achieve optimal health and improve their long-term quality of life.

Her clinical expertise encompasses both general endocrinology and specialised diabetes care. Dr Thrower has key interests in the management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, continuous subcutaneous insulin pump therapy, lipid disorders, thyroid conditions, and metabolic syndrome. In addition, she provides dedicated joint care for complex cases, including renal diabetes clinics as well as specialist antenatal diabetes and endocrine services for expectant mothers.

Dr Thrower earned her primary medical qualifications with distinction, graduating with a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours (BMedSci Hons) and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours (BMBS Hons). She subsequently undertook advanced clinical research to award a Doctorate of Medicine (MD). Dr Thrower is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP UK), a prestigious professional membership reflecting her high standards of practice and continuing commitment to clinical excellence.
