My clinical experience is spread across the England in the South East and Midlands, with junior doctor training in Oxford, Intensive Care training in London, General Medical training in Essex, and specialist cardiac training in Leicester, London and Essex.
Following completion of the conventional UK training, I then trained in treatment of complex coronary disease at the internationally renowned Vancouver Island fellowship. I then took my first consultant post at St James's Hospital, Dublin [the busiest coronary centre in Ireland], followed by my substantive NHS post in Luton and Dunstable Hospital from 2020. In Luton I lead the coronary intervention service.
I have extensive training in both the underpinning science of medicine and bedside clinical medicine, with a degree in each, and a second doctorate through PhD research linking the two types of practice. I have also had formal training in medical education, with a masters, in line with my work supporting the next generation of doctors.
