About Dr Sadat Edroos

Dr Sadat Edroos is a highly accomplished Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with extensive international expertise in coronary intervention and revascularisation. After graduating from Leicester Warwick Medical School in 2005, he undertook advanced specialist training across prominent cardiac centres in Essex, Dublin, and Vancouver Island, Canada. Today, he leads coronary intervention services within the NHS at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital, where he applies refined techniques to manage complex heart artery conditions.

Dr Edroos complements his clinical expertise with a strong academic background, having completed a PhD in cardiovascular research at the University of Leicester focused on heart disease, as well as a Master's degree in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge.

His clinical practice is underpinned by a deep commitment to both preventative medicine and the latest procedural innovations. Dr Edroos is actively involved in international research trials, with a particular focus on improving cardiac outcomes and patient communication.

Alongside his research, he is a dedicated educator, teaching medical students from UCL Medical School through to trainee cardiologists across the East of England. He also serves as Deputy Lead for the Foundation Programme at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital, where he supervises and supports the training of resident doctors. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a member of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society.

Absolutely top Guy! Explained everything very well before, during and after the procedure as I was awake throughout and, got me in early for a challenging op.

Dr Edroos was very welcoming and was able to remember me from the first time we met in A&E. He has a detailed understanding and knowledge of my particular situation and was able to explain his plans for my continued treatment. He didn’t rush my appointment, giving me the time I needed to ask questions, to which he responded happily and very confidently explaining his reasons clearly. I’m very happy and confident in his ability and would not hesitated seeking his advice and help further. The only issue I have is with getting appointments, which I know are not his responsibility. I’ve had this particular appointment rescheduled several times and was given a telephone appointment which he kindly changed into a face to face appointment, when he met my mother for an appointment the previous week. I hope I don’t have to wait so long again for my next appointment, which is should be scheduled for the end of this year. Dr Edroos is a wonderful doctor.

Dr Edroos was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the whole procedure. He explained everything perfectly and helped put my mind at rest as I was very scared and he picked up on that. I am very grateful to him for saving my life. The whole experience from being checked in and looked after by the amazing nursing team, having the procedure and then recovering couldn't have been any smoother or more comfortable. I am grateful to Dr Edroos and the whole team at the Luton and Dunstable hospital.
