Dr Rosemary Thwaites

Dr Rosemary Thwaites is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who delivers compassionate, comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young adults. She focuses on providing patient-centred, evidence-based care across the full spectrum of general paediatric medicine, ensuring young patients and their families receive reassuring support throughout their healthcare journey. Her practice encompasses both acute clinical assessment and the long-term management of chronic childhood conditions.

Dr Thwaites possesses significant sub-specialty expertise in Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. She offers detailed clinical evaluation and management for a broad range of digestive disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, functional bowel disorders, complex constipation, and gastro-oesophageal reflux. Recognising the importance of continuity of care, she is actively involved in running adolescent transition clinics to assist young people moving into adult services. Dr Thwaites also holds key leadership responsibilities in child safeguarding and emergency paediatric liaison.

Dr Thwaites completed extensive higher specialist training in paediatric medicine and holds professional membership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
