Dr Rosanne Murray

Dr Rosanne Murray is an experienced Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive medical care across a broad spectrum of neurological conditions. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care, Dr Murray focuses on evaluating and managing complex disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Her clinical practice encompasses both general neurological consultations and dedicated clinics tailored to individual patient needs.

Dr Murray earned her medical degree from Aberdeen University Medical School. Following her undergraduate medical training, she conducted specialised research into stroke medicine in Glasgow before completing her higher specialty training in Neurology in Newcastle upon Tyne. Following her specialist training, she ran a dedicated functional neurology clinic and has continued to advance clinical standards within neurology practice.

Her primary areas of expertise include the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and the evaluation of patients presenting with first seizures. Dr Murray utilises advanced diagnostic tools, including electroencephalography (EEG), video telemetry, and neuroimaging, to formulate individualised treatment plans that may include anti-seizure medication regimes and surgical evaluations. Alongside her work in epilepsy, she retains a strong clinical interest in functional neurological disorder (FND) and functional movement disorders, supporting patients through clear diagnosis and holistic management strategies.
