Mr Robin Gordon

Mr Robin Gordon is a dedicated Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of both adult and paediatric spinal conditions. Committed to delivering compassionate and patient-centred care, he focuses on restoring physical function, alleviating pain, and enhancing quality of life for individuals suffering from a broad spectrum of spinal and musculoskeletal disorders.

Mr Gordon graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Dundee in 2013. He subsequently completed his Specialist Registrar Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, alongside obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education from Queen's University Belfast in 2015. He was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) in 2015 and achieved his Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, FRCS (Tr & Orth), from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2022. To further refine his expertise, he completed an international subspecialist spinal fellowship in Brisbane, Australia, gaining extensive experience in managing complex spinal deformities and conditions.

Throughout his clinical practice, Mr Gordon has developed advanced technical skills in microscopic spine surgery, minimally invasive techniques, robotic spine surgery, and intraoperative navigation systems. His expertise encompasses the treatment of scoliosis, kyphosis, degenerative neck and back conditions, spinal stenosis, sciatica, spinal trauma, spinal infection, and spinal oncology. Alongside his surgical work, Mr Gordon is actively involved in medical education, regularly teaching medical students and contributing to clinical research trials in spinal surgery.
