About Dr. Robin Chung
Dr Robin Chung is a Consultant Cardiologist with an unmatched real life lived experience as a heart patient himself.
He matches this empathy with his broad experience in general cardiology and subspecialist expertise in cardiac imaging, including CT coronary angiography and advanced echocardiography. He also has internationally accredited expertise in cardio-oncology, focusing on the assessment and management of cardiovascular complications before, during and after cancer treatment.
He studied computer engineering and medicine at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Warwick, the University of Cambridge and University College London. He completed his general medical training within the London North West Thames Deanery as part of the Academic Foundation Programme, before being appointed as a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellow in Cardiology.
Dr Chung trained in echocardiography at the Royal Brompton Hospital and further developed advanced imaging skills at Barts Heart Centre. He completed higher cardiology training across several London teaching hospitals, including the Royal Free Hospital, University College London Hospitals, Barts Health and the Royal London Hospital.
He has contributed to the development of cardio-oncology services in London and continues to support this network. His academic work includes involvement in clinical trials and research, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and experience in multicentre studies across cardiovascular and rare diseases.

Dr Chung is a great cardiologist. He took time to listen my concerns and conducted a thorough check during the appointment. He proactively followed up afterwards on the requested exams and made himself available to walk me through the results.
Robin was very professional, he was very knowledgeable and he took all the steps in order to get comfortable with my health. I was able to move forward in confidence provided all the tests and screening we could to better understand the current circumstances of my heart.
I had an excellent experience with my cardiology consultant. He was incredibly thorough in his approach and carried out a full investigation, leaving no stone unturned, which gave me real confidence and reassurance throughout. What stood out most was his level of care beyond the consultation room. When I was admitted to A&E with chest pains and missed an appointment, he proactively stayed in touch and even sent all of my test results directly to the hospital without me needing to ask. That level of attentiveness is rare. He is always contactable, takes the time to answer any questions clearly, and genuinely puts patient care first. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a cardiology specialist.
