Richard Carter

Richard Carter is a highly experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist currently practising at the True Physio clinics in Crewe and Nantwich. He qualified with a Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1992 and later completed an MSc in Prevention of Injury and Rehabilitation at Manchester Metropolitan University, further strengthening his expertise in complex injury management and recovery.

With over 25 years of experience working at elite level in professional football, including eight years in the Premier League, Richard brings extensive experience managing workplace injuries and supporting patients through all stages of rehabilitation, from initial diagnosis to full return to function.

Richard is known for his holistic, patient-centred approach, ensuring that each treatment plan considers the individual as a whole rather than focusing solely on symptoms. He is well connected with local GPs, as well as local and national orthopaedic consultants and sports physicians, allowing for seamless multidisciplinary care when specialist input is required.

In addition to his physiotherapy practice, Richard is qualified in injection therapy and holds prescribing rights, enabling timely and effective management of pain and inflammation. His comprehensive skill set and collaborative approach ensure patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to their needs.
