Dr Reza Abdullah is an experienced Consultant Respiratory Physician at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, also seeing private patients at OneWelbeck, the Wellington Hospital & the Cromwell Hospital. He sub-specialises in lung cancer, nodules and pleural disease with proficiency in diagnostic procedures, as well as general respiratory conditions including cough, breathlessness and airways disease.
Dr Abdullah completed his medical degree alongside a Bachelor’s degree at Guys’, King’s & St Thomas’ Medical School in 2007. He later underwent rigorous training in respiratory and general internal medicine within the NW London Deanery, gaining invaluable experience at the Royal Brompton Hospital and Imperial College NHS Trusts. Further enhancing his expertise, he pursued a clinical fellowship in pulmonary intervention and pleural disease at St Mary’s Hospital.
Dr Abdullah offers comprehensive clinical services including management of pleural disease, lung cancer, pulmonary nodule surveillance, and general respiratory care. He has specialist expertise in lung function testing, CT scans, chest ultrasound, EBUS, chest draining, complex pleural procedures and diagnostic bronchoscopies.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Abdullah is dedicated to advancing medical education in a postgraduate setting. His research interests lie in pleural disease, lung cancer, and diagnostic bronchoscopy.

This was a follow up consultation, after tests to try to establish the cause of a long running condition. Dr Abdullah explained the results of the tests clearly and set out a clear plan to try to resolve the symptoms.
I have an Autoimmune disorder with Bronchiextasis. I saw Dr Abdullah due to poor NHS care from both respiratory and rheumatology service at Hammersmith Hospitals. I underwent extensive, blood tests, lung function tests and CT lungs and echocardiogram. I am now better informed about the state of my lungs. My treatment has also been optimised. Dr Abdullah is professional but easy to talk to. He has an excellent bed side manner. He explained my results clearly. I am a retired GP and have no hesitation in recommending Dr Abdullah if you are dissatisfied with your NHS care or have any concerns about your breathing.
I was beyond satisfied with my consultation. Doctor Abdullah made sure that he explained everything to me in Laymans terms and I left with a full and comprehensive understanding , but most importantly he made me feel relaxed and reassured..
It’s clear that Dr Reza Abdullah is an excellent professional in his field. I like clear communication and allowing patient’s awareness of the situation to ensure informed behaviours are followed. Excellent experience and great efficiency of prescribed treatment / medication.
