Dr Reza Abdullah is an experienced Consultant Respiratory Physician at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, also seeing private patients at OneWelbeck, the Wellington Hospital & the Cromwell Hospital. He sub-specialises in lung cancer, nodules and pleural disease with proficiency in diagnostic procedures, as well as general respiratory conditions including cough, breathlessness and airways disease.
Dr Abdullah completed his medical degree alongside a Bachelor’s degree at Guys’, King’s & St Thomas’ Medical School in 2007. He later underwent rigorous training in respiratory and general internal medicine within the NW London Deanery, gaining invaluable experience at the Royal Brompton Hospital and Imperial College NHS Trusts. Further enhancing his expertise, he pursued a clinical fellowship in pulmonary intervention and pleural disease at St Mary’s Hospital.
Dr Abdullah offers comprehensive clinical services including management of pleural disease, lung cancer, pulmonary nodule surveillance, and general respiratory care. He has specialist expertise in lung function testing, CT scans, chest ultrasound, EBUS, chest draining, complex pleural procedures and diagnostic bronchoscopies.

Dr Abdullah was empathetic, and took time to understand my symptoms - something I appreciated as I had felt dismissed by GPs, and had resigned myself to thinking I had to live with a bad cough. It was quick and easy to organise tests, and I valued that his secretary was responsive and friendly via email or phone (so many specialist secretaries are not!). We got to the bottom of my condition and I didn’t feel he was pushing me for excessive follow ups afterwards. Thank you
Dr Abdullah examined me thoroughly, initially as an in patient in hospital, and made some suggestions about my ongoing medication. He was very kind and didn't rush the consultation. It changed my life completely. I recently had a check up a few weeks later. I am no longer coughing, wheezing or breathing heavily, and am able to walk further than I could for a long time. I would recommend him unhesitatingly.
I would highly recommend Dr. Reza. He has a rare ability for communicating complex topics into simple understandable explanations. He truly takes the time to listen not only to your symptoms but also your concerns and understand what treatment could be best for your lifestyle. The consultations feel like a collaboration rather than a lecture. This is how all trips to the Doctor should be.
