About Dr Reval Sukkhu
Dr Reval Sukkhu is a Primary Care and Occupational Physician and Director of Clinical Services(Primary Care) at HCA Healthcare UK.
He has over 20 years' experience as a corporate medical advisor of large public and private sector organisations on all aspects of employee health and wellbeing, and acts as a senior medical adviser to numerous financial services institutions in The City.
He has worked as a medical advisor to Transport for London- Occupational Health, French aid charity Médecins du Monde, and as an Immigration Panel Physician for the United States and Australian Governments. He has also worked for the Red Cross Flying Doctor Program in Southern and East Africa and spent 3 years on the St Mary's Hospital/Imperial College Training Scheme in Psychiatry. He holds specialist qualifications in tropical medicine and hygiene and occupational medicine from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Faculty of Occupational Medicine, London, respectively and an MSc in Medical Leadership and Management(Merit) from Bayes(formerly Cass) Business School, City University of London.
He is a registered physician with Oil and Gas UK, and has been an approved doctor with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (UK) and is Medical Advisor to Disney Cruise Lines. He is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine. Reval has special interests in occupational medicine (particularly the health of expats), travel and tropical medicine, mental health, men's health and asthma and allergy.
He enjoys public speaking and is a keen historian, particularly the history of the British Empire & the East India Company. He also holds postgraduate qualifications in Human Rights and Journalism from the LSE and the London School of Journalism, respectively.
