I have nothing but positives to say about Mr Wei. From the outset, he was calm, confident and decisive about diagnosis and then a course of action. I was reassured at every stage that I was in the best possible hands thanks to Mr Wei’s manner and friendliness.

I found Mr Wei to be an excellent Consultant. Tests and diagnosis were organised quickly. Mr Wei instilled confidence and knowledge when discussing the condition of my knee and options available. The ACL reconstruction + Meniscal Repair + Cartilage regeneration procedure I fell off the bike: tore my ACL, trashed the meniscus, and bruised my bone. I feel fortunate and blessed to have Mr Wei looking after my knee recovery process with NHS. From our first appointment, I and my husband trusted him absolutely as he gave us a clear understanding of the injury and a vision of how to deal with the situation, taking into account my lifestyle and plans. Mr Wei is very friendly and firm, with no water in his explanations/prognosis, and confident in his decisions and skills. I was going through a different medical treatment, and we had to postpone the decided reconstruction of ACL surgery until that one was done. I was pleased that Mr Wei acted in my best interests immediately putting me on the emergency waiting list when he discovered new cartilage damage on the planned MRI (it happened because I moved uncarefully causing further injury) and I got surgery asap. Not only did he repair my ACL ( that is strong as I tested it with dancing), but also managed to repair my meniscus (when a meniscectomy was a possible outcome), as well as performed a new procedure for the recovery of cartilage. My scars healed perfectly; pain-wise, I stopped using codeine-containing painkillers straight after leaving the hospital. The pain was bearable with paracetamol or without painkillers at all.
