Dr Rachel Pearson

Dr Rachel Pearson is a dedicated Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the comprehensive management and treatment of urological cancers. She provides expert, reassuring care for individuals diagnosed with prostate, kidney, bladder, and penile malignancies. As a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Dr Pearson is proficient in delivering advanced cancer therapies, including targeted radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and state-of-the-art immunotherapy, tailored to meet the distinct clinical needs of each patient.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Pearson is deeply involved in medical research and trial leadership aimed at advancing cancer diagnostics and personalising treatment strategies. Her primary clinical interests focus on cutting-edge cancer imaging techniques, including functional MRI and advanced PET imaging. Through her active participation in innovative clinical trials, Dr Pearson works to evaluate therapeutic response early in the care process, helping patients achieve optimal outcomes while minimising potential treatment side effects.

Dr Pearson earned her medical degree (MB ChB) from the University of Aberdeen in 2001. She subsequently completed higher specialist training, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2004 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2011, alongside completing Specialist Training in Clinical Oncology. She also holds a PhD in Cancer Imaging from Newcastle University. Dr Pearson maintains active professional memberships with the Royal College of Radiologists and the Royal College of Physicians.
