Dr Rachel Newby

Dr Rachel Newby is a highly regarded Consultant Neurologist who provides expert clinical care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. With extensive expertise in both general neurology and complex neurological disorders, she is dedicated to delivering accurate diagnoses and individualised management plans. Dr Newby works closely with each patient to ensure they feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their care pathway.

Dr Newby earned her medical degrees, MA (Cantab) and MB BChir, from the University of Cambridge. She completed her clinical training in Leeds before undertaking an advanced specialist fellowship in Movement Disorders in Melbourne, Australia. She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and actively engages in clinical research and medical education, serving as an Honorary Senior Lecturer to help train the next generation of medical professionals.

In her clinical practice, Dr Newby specialises in Movement Disorders and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). She runs dedicated specialist clinics for functional neurological symptoms and offers comprehensive management for conditions such as dystonia, utilising therapeutic approaches including botulinum toxin injections. Her practice focuses on collaborative, multidisciplinary care, working alongside therapists and specialists to achieve the best possible outcomes for her patients.
