Mr Pranshu Agrawal

Mr Pranshu Agrawal is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and surgical management of knee conditions. His clinical practice focuses on knee arthroscopy and minimally invasive techniques, with expertise across a broad range of knee pathology.

His work includes the management of sports-related knee injuries involving ligaments, menisci and articular cartilage, as well as patellofemoral disorders, knee cap pain and instability. He also provides surgical management for knee osteoarthritis, including partial knee replacement, patellofemoral replacement and total knee replacement procedures.

Mr Agrawal has a particular interest in joint preservation strategies for patients with early degenerative change. Where appropriate, he utilises arthroscopic surgery, biologic injection therapies, cartilage restoration techniques and realignment procedures such as osteotomy. In cases of advanced arthritis, his surgical approach prioritises preservation of healthy joint structures where possible.

He treats patients from a range of sporting backgrounds, including football, rugby, cricket and mixed martial arts, and works closely with multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists and anaesthetists to support perioperative care and rehabilitation.

Mr Agrawal completed his medical training and orthopaedic specialty training in India before undertaking further fellowship training in knee surgery at Wrightington Hospital in the United Kingdom. He currently works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

In addition to his clinical practice, he is involved in teaching and research, serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics and Trauma, and regularly presents at national and international scientific meetings.
