My name is Patrick Allen and I am a consultant Gastroenterologist since 2010. I manage patients with reflux, indigestion, vomiting , irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, anaemia, Inflammatory bowel disease ( including Crohns disease, ulcerative colitis , and microscopic colitis ) therapeutic endoscopy and diagnosis of upper and lower gastrointestinal cancers.

Qualifications

I trained in QUB and qualified with a do actin toon in Medicine at Final MB in 2002. I trained in NI and completed a fellowship in St Vincent's Melbourne in 2010. I was appointed a consultant in Gastroenterology in 2010. I work in the South Eastern Trust Belfast. I am involved in research into Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Therapeutic Endoscopy including advanced polypectomy. I am a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh.
