Miss Palvi Bhardwaj

Miss Palvi Bhardwaj is a highly dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist who specialises in emergency eye care and general ophthalmology. Serving as an Eye Casualty Lead, she is committed to providing rapid, high-quality assessment and treatment for patients experiencing acute ophthalmic conditions. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of eye disorders, with a particular focus on managing ocular emergencies, diagnosing complex visual symptoms, and delivering reassuring, patient-centred care.

In addition to her leadership in emergency eye care, Miss Bhardwaj possesses a strong interest in sub-specialist areas such as glaucoma management and oculoplastic procedures. She has contributed to clinical research and education in these fields, including studies on glaucoma drainage devices and the management of post-operative intraocular pressure. Her comprehensive approach ensures that patients receive precise diagnoses and tailored treatment plans, whether requiring urgent intervention for acute conditions or ongoing management for chronic eye diseases.

Miss Bhardwaj began her medical journey at the University of Sheffield, where she earned a Bachelor of Medical Science in Orthoptics in 2004. She then pursued her medical degree at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2010. Following extensive postgraduate training in ophthalmology, she was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2021. Miss Bhardwaj is an active member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and serves as a Committee Member of the Ophthalmic Imaging Association, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development and the advancement of ophthalmic imaging standards.
